As part of their Religious Studies our Year 7s visited St Francis Church in Boxmoor, about 800m away from Lockers Park. St Francis is an interesting church, built in 1914 by a local family who wanted a church like the ones they had seen when on holiday to Italy. The Reverend Michael Macey gave the boys a tour of the church and showed them the most important parts. He also got Mr Moubray to dress up as a vicar and talked about the symbolism of the clothes worn by a vicar. Visiting different places of worship is something we feel is very important as it gives everyone a better understanding of different religions.
