One of the things we do at Lockers is to give all of our pupils a love of nature. We are lucky – we have 23 acres of ground and a huge number of mature trees. Trees are very important to us and today our Pre Prep pupils create a “spirit” for their own special tree. They moulded clay into a face which they then attached to their tree. To make the “spirit” really individual they then found materials to add to the clay. The result is we have our own sculpture trail! Out of all the Nature and the Environment activities that we have done this year, this is the one that has most grabbed their attention. If you visit the school do have a look at the trees near the Pre Prep building and see if you can spot a “Tree Spirit”.
