While the rest of the country was going off to vote in the General Election, Lockers was in the midst of the Chapel Concert. This event was postponed from last term and thank heavens it went ahead! As always the music was of the highest standard – I doubt there is a prep school in the country with a string orchestra as large or as good as ours. There were some outstanding pieces – William on his trumpet, playing through the pain barrier. The String Orchestra. The Guitar Quartet – how do they always produce an outstanding piece of music? How many prep schools have a pupil playing the organ? The String Quartet produced two fantastic pieces, and to cap the whole evening off, the Chapel Choir and guests were simply fantastic. Many thanks to Mr Shaw for organising the evening and all our music teachers for all their hard work.
