The whole school sat and listened to the Set Debate this afternoon and the debating was of the highest quality. Does money make you happy? Is a simple life the best life? I really like the way that the participants research their topic and come up with facts and figures. Some of the debaters really hit the mark – others needed to be a little more focussed. With contributions from the floor, about one third of the pupils took part. Well done Haig and Tom and Mackenzie for coming out on top.
