For Ancient Greek week, Year 4 have made tzatziki. They thoroughly enjoyed learning about the origins of the Greek week, as well as discussing the ingredients, and of course eating the dip with pita bread.
Year 5 have learned about the Ancient Greek methods of making hummus, and have written up the recipe and method… Perhaps this could be used in the Lockers Week or a social media post for a nice, simple, and healthy snack to make at home? They loved the lesson. They have also studied Archimedes and his theories on buoyancy and displacement, experimenting with his findings.
Year 6 have learned about how sundials were used in Ancient Greece, and the astronomer, Aristarchus, who carved a sundial out of stone in 280BC.
