Over the past decade, our boys have harboured a strong desire for a dedicated food technology area. As part of our 150th celebrations we have designed a bespoke Woodland Food Technology Suite.
This will be an important facility for the school, with a strong multi-purpose use. The Woodland Food Technology Suite will be a stand-alone building built amongst the trees near to Little Lockers.
This purpose-built facility will allow groups of 16 boys to learn about all aspects of food technology from exploring food preparation through to developing essential life skills in cooking. This links in with our gardening club and new allotments which means that boys will be able to take food from soil to saucepan.
The Woodland Food Technology Suite also allows boarders to use the new barbecue and pizza oven facility during weekends, enhancing the boarding experience further. The Woodland Food Technology Suite will also be used to host our famous Lockers Park match teas, allowing parents and visitors to utilise this valuable space.
We are looking to raise £500,000 for this project. If you would like to contribute to our 150th celebration appeal, then your support would make a tremendous difference to the school – preparing us for the next 150 years.
