Blindfold Rope Walk

Our senses are something that we take for granted. We don’t even really think about them UNTIL something goes wrong. In our Nature and Environment lesson today we firstly listened to the sounds around us and then described what we could see. THEN the fun bit – were the pupils able to follow a rope course blindfolded, if they had a guide? There were obstacles and trip hazards to avoid so the seeing partner, just like a guide dog, was vital. It was interesting to see who cared enough to look after their partner; who was determined to finish first at any cost; who managed to avoid the hazards and who didn’t!
The pupils were very pleased they can see!
