Scholarships
Scholarships are available for boys in Years 3 to 8 with great academic, sporting, musical or artistic abilities, as well as to the good all-rounder. They are generally to the value of 10% of the tuition fees.
If you wish your son to apply for a Scholarship, please let us know when you are indicating your interest in a place at Lockers Park. We will then assess your son to determine whether his skills meet our Scholarship requirements. If your son joins Little Lockers (our pre-prep), we will contact you when he is in Year 2 if we believe he could be eligible for a Scholarship.
A Scholarship may be boosted by a means-tested bursary.
Bursaries
Our Governors are committed to broadening access to Lockers Park by offering to eligible parents of boys in Years 3 to 8 means-tested financial support with the payment of school fees.
We welcome applications from pupils whose abilities indicate they could make the most of a place at Lockers Park, but whose means and circumstances would otherwise prevent them from joining the school. While we wish we could offer a bursary to every family who inquiries, because a bursary is funded by the tuition fees paid by our fee-paying families, and especially considering we are a much smaller school than most, we have certain standards that we require boys to meet. It is important to us that we are confident we will be able to support such pupils with a successful bursary application to an independent senior school after their education at Lockers Park.
Bursaries are awarded in the form of a discount of typically 10% to 20% of school fees, and in exceptional circumstances, to up to 100%, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.
Bursary applications are thoroughly researched by an external party, and can include a visit to the applicant’s home, to ensure the information has been accurately represented, and that bursaries are fairly awarded to the most eligible pupils.
Draper Bursary
In honour of our first Headmaster Montague Draper who founded the school back in 1874, we have set up the Draper Bursary as part of our 150th Celebrations. This sits alongside the other bursary initiative we have at Lockers Park.
The Draper Bursary will provide assistance for boys joining Lockers Park at any age. It supports talented and deserving boys who have the most to gain from Lockers Park, and whose families could not otherwise consider a private prep school education… read more

International Pupils Requiring Visa Support
There is a £1,000 per term supplement for international pupils requiring a Child Student Visa. This reflects the School’s input in processing the visa application, ongoing updates, and the cost of the School’s UKVI Student Visa Sponsor Licence.
Flexi-Boarding
Registration Fee
£100, non-refundable for UK pupils
£150, non-refundable for non-UK pupils.
Additional £50 per child for siblings.

£1,000 for UK pupils
£2,000 for non-UK pupils
The Acceptance Deposit is repaid after the child’s final term at Lockers Park, minus any outstanding amounts owed to the School.
When you pay our Acceptance Deposit and return our Acceptance Form, you will be liable for the first term’s fees. These are required one month in advance of the start of term. We reserve the right to re-allocate the place if the fees are not received by that date.
Overseas pupils pay the tuition fees for their first year before joining Lockers Park.
Subsequent fees are payable on or before the first day of each term, as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
Siblings
Sibling discounts are considered.
Military
We offer a 10% discount for serving members of the UK Forces. Please share your military rank and posting to confirm eligibility.
Extras
These are kept to an absolute minimum and consist mainly of individual tuition for Music, Drama or Specialist help and extra curriculum activities.
Learning Support and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
If a child requires specialist help (e.g. for learning support or EAL), parents will be asked to pay the visiting hourly rate. The timing of lessons will vary so that children do not miss the same lesson (or sport) every week. The average number of sessions per child per year is 30 and the cost per half hour session is £35.00.
If parents and the school feel that external provision is needed to confirm a diagnosis of difficulties, we have an approved educational psychologist, with teaching experience, who visits for in-school assessments.
Music
Most boys choose to have individual tuition in at least one instrument or singing. Music practice is timetabled for boarders. Individual tuition costs £315 per term for one instrument. There are discounts for the study of two or more instruments.
In addition, try-out lessons are available free of charge, to establish a suitable instrument for each child. The school is fortunate in owning a large collection of instruments for hire.
Drama
Group LAMDA (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) drama lessons are available and cost £165 per term.
School Minibus
The cost of our school minibus service is £4.65 per single journey and we offer a 25% discount for additional siblings. The estimated cost for a pupil using the service every school day is: Monday – Friday, one way £745 per annum; return journey, £1,490 per annum.
