Despite pupil’s being temporarily confined to barracks, preparation for senior school entrance has continued apace. This has already born fruit with five of our Year 8 boys passing the entrance exam to Berkhamsted, whilst our Year 6 boys have also tasted success in the first round of Merchant Taylors’ and Eton pre-tests.
In the upcoming weeks, boys from Years 6, 7 and 8 will be involved in interviews and entrance tests for schools as diverse as Aldenham, Bedford, Eton, St. Colombas, St. Albans, Rugby, Haileybury, Wellington, Mill Hill and Marlborough.
As these are online assessments, Mr Wilson, Mr Taylor and Mr Dawes are running 1:1 online sessions to help with interview practice and boost confidence. Busy times, but the boys have been fantastic in handling everything that has been thrown at them – good luck to all who are involved in this process in the next few weeks.
