Destination Schools and Scholarship Success

“Pupils are notably successful at the point of transfer to the senior school of their choice against strong competition.”
The Independent Schools Inspectorate – 2017

We prepare boys for the UK’s top independent and public senior schools, many with scholarships and exhibitions in Academics, Sport, Music and the Arts, and Technology—on average four each leaving year, which is remarkable, given our small class sizes.

Finding the Right Senior School for Your Son

Our guiding principle is to support and assist a pupil’s parents to help make the decision that is right for their son, ensuring Lockers Park boys are equipped to move on to the next step of their educational journey with the confidence to succeed.

Deep knowledge of the senior school landscape, excellent and longstanding relationships with senior schools mean that we are able to facilitate dialogue each step of the way. Our Senior School Preparation Programme includes personal meetings with the Headmaster and senior staff, alongside our ever-popular annual Senior Schools Presentation Evenings where we invite schools to come along and talk to parents, are helpful aids in establishing the best next steps.

We are proud that we are not a feeder to any school in particular, rather offer this individual and thoughtful support.

Additional Destination Schools

In addition to those in the table above, we are also proud that our Year 8 leavers have gone on to the following senior schools in recent years: Whitgift, St Margaret’s, Radley, Merchant Taylors, Winchester, Bradfield, Charterhouse, Clifton College, Millfield, Repton, Wellington, The Leys, St Edward’s in Oxford, Milton Abbey, Sevenoaks, Shrewsbury, Pangbourne, Shiplake, Uppingham, Marlborough, Cedars, Epsom, Tonbridge, Akeley Wood, Bablake, Bearwood, Bishops Stortford, Bootham School, Cheltenham, Cranbrook, Dulwich College, Ibstock, King’s College School in Wimbledon, King Edwards’ in Surrey, Malvern, Mill Hill, Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital, Reddam House, St Nicholas’ School in Harlow, Thorpe House, Tring Park, Wellingborough, Westminster and Wycliffe College.
