All years at Lockers Park participate in school trips. In the Prep School, trips are designed to bring learning to life and make wonderful life-long memories.
Iceland
This biannual science and geography trip includes:
- Climbing glaciers
- Visiting a Geothermal power station
- Viewing geysers
- Swimming in geothermal water.
Geneva
A science and geography trip which also gives the boys an opportunity to practice their French. The trip includes:
- A visit to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research and home of the Hadron Collider.
- Visiting the city of Geneva
- Visiting the famous jet d’eau and swimming in the lake.
South Africa Cricket Tour
This takes place every two years for our 1st XI Cricket Team and the most recent visit in February 2025 included some excellent wins. The team attended various matches in Cape Town and in Hermanus further up the stunning coast.
In addition to plenty of cricket, the 2025 tour included time off to visit Table Mountain, the iconic V&A Waterfront, the Natural Hot Spring Spa at Caledon, Seal Island, Chapmans Peak and a favourite of the boys, the cool Runnings dry toboggan run.
Annual Ski Trip
Taking place every year, participants visit a European ski destination. Boys can participate solo and parents are also able to accompany their sons on the trip. Activities include ski lessons, fun competitions and, for those with their families, time off for family skiiing. The evenings include visits to local restaurants to better understand the local culture.

These visits vary but can include:
- Berkhamsted Castle, where our boys pretend they are Saxons and attack the motte
- Kew Gardens to observe the plants and wildlife
- The Royal Observatory
- Bedford Observatory
- Stockwood Discovery Centre
- The Natural History Museum
- The Science Museum
- St John’s Church
- Hampton Court Palace
- St Albans Catherdral
- St Francis of Assisi and St John’s, Smith Square, where our Chapel Choir performs
- Stowe School for the Winton Cup and other senior school events.
